Our first sponsored family

Meet Margo.
Her world has a soundtrack.

A favorite playlist on repeat. A little backpack carrying a boombox. A smile that makes you smile, too. Margo loves her music—and we’re raising money for a diesel Sprinter van to help her family get around with a place for Margo to settle in and enjoy it.

The Olschners, our first sponsored family.

The music goes where Margo goes.

Sometimes her favorite playlist fills the room. Sometimes it travels with her in a small backpack with a boombox inside. The songs play on repeat, and her contagious smile tells you something about the girl at the heart of this story.

Margo is a daughter, a sister, and the eldest of the Olschners’ three children. They are the first family sponsored by the Lillian Bijou Foundation. We want you to get to know them, starting with the little things that make Margo, Margo.

A story to share

Margo’s music. Her family’s next chapter.

A planned family film about a favorite playlist, a contagious smile, and what a diesel Sprinter van could mean to the Olschners.

More room for Margo. More freedom for her family.

Right now, we’re raising money for a diesel Sprinter van for the Olschners. The goal is to help the family be more mobile while giving Margo a safe place to spend time and listen to the music she loves.

That is the everyday difference we’re working toward: making it easier for the family to get around, with Margo’s comfort and care at the center. Giving Fest is the Givebutter campaign we’re using for this fundraiser.

Help fund the van through Giving Fest

Care reaches the whole family.

Margo lives with CDKL5 deficiency disorder. Her care involves round-the-clock support, specialized equipment, and ongoing therapies.

Our work begins with listening to the family and understanding what would make daily life more manageable. The van is a current, practical priority within that circle of care.

Learn about our approach

Lillian’s love, carried forward.

Chance and Julie created this foundation from their experience as Lillian’s parents. That lived experience shapes our commitment to one child and one family at a time.

For the Olschners, we want to be part of a community that stays close, listens, and helps meet real needs.

You can be part of this next chapter.

Make a gift through Giving Fest, share Margo’s story, or start a conversation about how your business can help. Every introduction is another chance to bring someone into this circle.

If you have questions about the van fundraiser or a particular contribution, Julie would love to talk with you.

Talk with Julie about helping

Stay for the next song.

We’re preparing a family-led film about Margo, the music she loves, and what a van would mean to the Olschners. The family will choose the moments and memories they want to share.

As the fundraiser moves forward, this will be a place to share real progress and the next part of their story.

A few things you may be wondering

Good questions. Clear answers.

How is Margo’s fundraiser different from the van you hope to give away?

We have a separate 2019 Chrysler Pacifica with approximately 30,000 miles and a VMI in-floor automatic ramp, stored in a climate-controlled garage in California, that we hope to give to a child and family in need. That van does not fit the Olschners’ situation. Margo’s diesel Sprinter van fundraiser through Giving Fest is still needed. Julie can answer questions about either effort.
